This weekend went entirely too fast! Most of the Halteman family was together this weekend here and we stayed at Reuben Lapps rental house. We had so much fun! We played games and ate most of the time! :) My mom is completely obsessed with Settlers, so we played that most of the time, but we managed to slip in a couple of other games too.
Angie, Brenda, and I stayed up until 2am the first night in the hot tub! Then of course I have to get up in the morning with my girls so I didn't get a whole lot of sleep and I'm still not caught up in that department.
Sunday we went to the puppet show at Springs...everyone really liked that.
I was bummed though, my camera battery died just before we took family pictures. So Brenda is going to make a CD of her's and send them to me. Her camera takes better pictures than mine anyway.
It was definately depressing to me that the weekend flew by as fast as it did and I have no idea when I'll see everyone again...it will probably over a year anyway. :( Unless by some miracle we can make it home for Christmas, but I don't see that happening.

Things are moving along
A couple exciting tidbits of information....
1. Brent and Trina Siegrist (the new pastor at Glade) are buying our house!
2. I got a job!! I'll be working in food services at the college. One of the benefits I'm really excited about is a membership to the wellness center down the street. It has a heated indoor pool that we will be able to take the kids to in the winter!
I'm super excited about this weekend! Most of the Halteman family will be coming and we'll be staying at Reuben Lapp's rental house on Accident Bittinger Road. It will be a blast!
That's about all I have for now.

Happy Mother's Day!
I had a very nice mother's day...despite having a bad cold. Dan and the girls made me breakfast in bed. They made me a heart shaped chocolate chip pancake, bacon, and coffee...along with a beautiful rose and a card.
Then after church...Alissa, Jackie Hibshman and I went to Mom's and we ate chinese food and a ice cream cake and we played Settlers all afternoon! It was a lot of fun.
The evening was good too...Dan had the house all straightened up and the girls were playing nicely and I had a bubble bath and read a book! Great day!!!
In other news, I have a telephone interview Tuesday at noon for a position at the college in food services. I'm excited...I think it could be fun, especially if I get to interact with the college students!

The lot service
The lot for elder and deaconess was at church yesterday. Dan did not get elder! I guess that means we are on our way to Hesston. Actually no one got elder. The whole process has to start over. I'm just glad Dan was in the service yesterday. If he wasn't then we would really be wondering if that was what he was supposed to do and we would have to go through the process next time and that would be torture. I was so nervous yesterday, I was shaking pretty much through the entire service. It is definately a relief to know for sure what we are doing, but having had that short period of time thinking there was a possibility of staying got me more comfortable that I thought. I really want to go, but now I'm trying very hard not to freak out about leaving! I think yesterday I started thinking about what would happen after our two years at Hesston and that is scary! I just have to take it one step at a time I guess, especially considering we aren't even in Kansas yet. :)
